About Our Driving School

Today's Driving School has been providing superior driver education for teens and adults Since 2002.

We know that you are concerned about your child's safety when they become a licensed teen driver, we share your concern. That is why we employ highly trained and licensed instructors allowing us to provide you with quality education and excellent customer service. All of our instructors must pass a MNBCA/FBI background-check.

Our classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction meet all criteria required by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.

Classroom Curriculum

Today's Driving School has developed a curriculum focused on providing your teen driver with all the skills necessary to become a safe driver. Your child will receive detailed instruction in a variety of formats proven to help students learn. Our instructors engage your teen through chapter review, worksheets, movies, discussion, and classroom activities.

Classroom instruction is offered in-person, via teleconference (Zoom), and Online. Our lesson plans focus on specific skills helping your teen become a safe driver.

  • Defensive driving skills.
  • Traffic laws and vehicle operation.
  • Sharing the road.
  • Rules of the road.
  • Traffic signs, signals, and pavement markings.
  • Driving in adverse conditions.
  • What it means to drive responsibly.
  • The dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Many more tips and techniques that only an experienced driver can share.

Parent Aware Class

Today's Driving School offers you an opportunity to attend a parent class that is designed to help you and your child get the most out of their driver's education. You will learn how the whole process works, what your responsibilities are, your options, and receive plenty of useful tips from our instructors.

A reward for attending the class is provided by the Department of Public Safety. Your student is required to log 50 hours of practice time, with 15 hours being night-time driving. Students, whose parents have attended this free class, only need to log 40 hours of supervised driving (15 must be at night).
